Peach Buds

Photo taken April 6th.  The buds are getting bigger.  The willows are brighter yellow.  Last year on April 3rd the spring peepers were peeping.  Not a peep from them yet this year.

Not a peep from them yet this year.  For Easter Dinner we had Penny Tree  Farm Fresh Pork Roast smothered in Penny Tree Farm Peach Preserves.  I have a few more jars left of the preserves.

Signs of Spring

Another broody hen.  This is one of Rufus' hens.  I tried putting her into a cage and she absolutely flipped out.  So she is in the nesting box which is a pain as the other hens are laying eggs in with her everyday and I have to sort them.

Who needs a rubber ducky?

All winter the Swedish Ducks have been bathing in the barn in this big dish.  On Wednesday I moved it outside.

And now he dries off!  I didn't see it but later in the day my daughter saw the two ducks fighting over the tub.  She said they were grabbing each other's bills and pulling and squawking.  Tsk! Tsk!
